The popular Roxburgh River Track is getting a makeover this week.
Weather permitting, the track will undergo a long-awaited upgrade benefiting the many people who use it, from walkers to cyclists.
The work involves widening the existing track to 2.2 metres, putting in a new gravel surface, tree trimming and culvert installation.
The Teviot Valley Walkways Committee is leading the project, which is being carried out by Lake Roxburgh Contracting.
People can expect the track to be closed for up to two weeks while the work takes place.
