Grab your coffee: Sunday night Takeaways are backSara Miller - Anderson serving coffee from the window at Pitches, Ophir

Coffees, fish and chips, Amigos, smoothies and all your favourites are back as takeaways open up and become more readily accessible under alert level restrictions.

Local businesses have been doing their best to get up and running, and coffee machines are running hot to provide the shot for eager customers.

From the Maniototo to Pisa to Roxburgh, more workers have been called back to work to provide your hit.

Ophir local Gary Stewart was caught outside of Pitches Store, and says he jumped at the chance to get the "best berry smoothies in Central".

To view what stores are open in Central Otago at Alert Level 3, simply open The Central App, and click the “News” button.

Then, at the top of the screen and under the advertisement banner, you’ll see “Open under level 3”. Give it a click.

Simply click on the store you want, and make and order. You’ll be supporting your neighbours to get back into business and back on their feet.

Make sure you give your local workers a smile, and show your appreciation to our local cafe baristas, workers and owners.

To support local businesses, the solution is simple - buy local where possible; keeping local money in local pockets and supporting local jobs.
