Your weekend is a superheroSave your week, and take the time to do things that make you smile this weekend.

Take the time to do something you’d really love to do this weekend – we have a few suggestions for you.

Make this weekend your superhero. Saturday and Sunday are the days that can swoop in and save the rest of your week.

Here’s a few ideas for you to give your weekend superpowers. For further details on any of the events and activities, check out our What’s On guide. There’s a link below.

Help Sebastian and his family. The story of a courageous young man battling a brain stem tumour. The Give a Little page for Sebastian is only open to the end of July - that’s tomorrow.

There’s also a Meal Train page where you can make a meal for the family, and make life just a little easier for his mum. So, spend a little time to do what you can for Sebastian and his family.

To donate a home cooked meal for Sebastian and his family, click here to visit Meal Train.

To donate to help Sebastian please click here to visit the Cromwell Youth Trust Give-a-little page by the end of July.

Ever dreamed of being a model? You can! WoolOn is calling for all those interested in training as a model for the iconic August event. Locals Sue Laing and Jamie Richards both have extensive expertise and experience - and they want to see you. Turn up at Central Stories at 2pm on Sunday, bring heels if you have them.

They’re looking for male and female models, a variety of shapes and sizes, all ages, as long as you are 16 years or over.

Make it to the movies. Central Cinema is running a Sam Neill retrospective, with seven movies over four days. The first is this afternoon at 4pm. Titled Dead Calm, it is a tense thriller to start your weekend.

The second of the seven movies kicks off tonight at 7.30pm - Sweet Country. This is billed as a hard-hitting Australian movie with a Western flavour. It’s also based on real events and stars Sam Neill as a preacher.

The series continues on Saturday night, with a double bill of My Brilliant Career and The Piano. Then Sunday night there’s Death in Brunswick and Dean Spanley.

Explore the markets and nab a bargain. The Cromwell Farmers’ and Craft winter market is on again this Sunday from 10am. Support our local farmers and crafters, and enjoy a great family morning out.

Enjoy your weekend.
