Ranfurly's BOIL WATER NOTICE has been lifted.
This afternoon we have received confirmation through our water quality testing that there is no further need to boil water. Although the reservoir level has recovered, we will be monitoring this closely, along with the river level.
Water Restrictions still apply. This means ESSENTIAL USE ONLY, for such things as showering (no longer than four minutes), and only running the washing machine or dish washer on a full load. And still NO GARDEN WATERING at the moment.
Water Restrictions still apply elsewhere in the MĀNIATOTO (Patearoa and Naseby) as well as the Omakau/Ophir area.Water Restrictions mean just that – the urgent need to restrict use and conserve water. Some tips:
- If watering cannot be avoided, only operate sprinkler systems between 8pm and 8am for no more than 30 minutes in one spot
- Keep showers to four minutes or less
- Turn off the tap when brushing teeth
- Only run the washing machine and dishwasher when you have full loads
- Check for leaks around your property.
Check our website under Save Water at Home for ways we can all use water more efficiently:
