BOIL WATER NOTICE UPDATE: RANFURLY

The boil water notice will remain in place over the weekend.

“Remember to boil all water used for drinking, food preparation and cooking, and cleaning your teeth. Bring water to a rolling boil and boil for at least a minute, then allow it to cool naturally.

“The two smaller drinking water tankers (at Maniototo Area School and Maniototo Hospital) will be getting re-filled (after 1pm) and tested today so there is sufficient supply over the weekend. The large tanker on Charlemont Street will also remain available.

“We know this is an inconvenience for residents, so as soon as Council can meet its legal requirements to ensure safe drinking water we will lift the notice.

“We need three days of clear test results before we can lift a boil notice so we’ll keep you posted once we begin testing which will give you an idea of expected timeframes, and we will advise officially when the boil water notice can be removed.”

CONSERVE WATER NOTICE UPDATE: NASEBY

Naseby residents - the Conserve Water Notice for your town water supply remains in place.

“Thank you for your continued efforts to conserve water as much as possible,” the CODC statement says. “We will keep you posted when we can lift this.”

CONSERVE WATER NOTICE LIFTED FOR PATEAROA, OMAKAU & OPHIR:

“Everything is performing normally again, so the conserve water notice has now been lifted for the Patearoa and Omakau/Ophir supplies. Thank you for doing your best to conserve water this week.”
