“Saturday is a cloudy day with thick high cloud, but no rain expected at this stage,” Thapi says. “It will be a windy one, however, with strong northwester expected.

“Things remain cloudy into Sunday, with a few spots of rain possible with a brief southwest winds change, mainly during the first half of the day.

“During Monday, we start to see  the cloud break away and sunny spells come through for the close of the Queen’ Birthday Weekend.

“Temperatures remain in the mid-teens until Monday, when daytime temperatures hover in the lower teens.

“The cloud cover keeps overnight temperatures well above freezing, which means most of the region gets a welcome break from frosty mornings for a few days.”
