It will be a warm working week for Central Otago, but rain clouds will appear on the horizon, with widespread showers forecast for Friday, according to MetService.
Cromwell-raised MetService meteorologist Lewis Ferris says it will be warm all week before the break down on Friday.
“Expect this week to run warmer than average with isolated afternoon showers popping up most days.
“These showers are looking a bit more widespread on Wednesday and Friday.”

Lewis says a front will eventually bring a cooler change, and with it, more rain.
“A front moves over the region on Friday, bringing more widespread showers, windy about the ranges, slightly cooler temperatures and ushers in an unsettled period of weather for the weekend.”
At this stage, Saturday appears to include showers, clearing to partly cloudy weather, while Sunday simply has rain on the cards.
