The fire occurred at the top of the pole, near the wires, leaving a cross section severely damaged.
An Aurora Energy spokesperson confirmed mid-afternoon the fire was on a low voltage joint, which is a connection between a copper and aluminium conductor, at the top of the power pole.
Twenty customers were without power for just over an hour.
