The Clyde Theatre Group (CTG) is performing two one act plays next weekend which promise to entertain and grip audiences.
A dedicated core of local members means CTG continues to bring theatre alive for Central.
A CTG spokesperson Kelsey Connell said it was “a love and appreciation of theatre for ourselves and for the community” that drove them to keep bringing plays to the stage.
“The group consists of people of all ages and from a range of backgrounds with this common passion. We hope to see a good wee turn out next weekend for these two delightful, light hearted and humorous one act plays.”
The ‘One Act WonDERS’ are Mark Langham’s The Bench and David Tristram’s Murder in Little Grimley.
Nine local actors make up the cast for the two plays. The directors are wearing two hats, both are also in the cast; Jackie Smith and Joy Ramsey.
The Bench won an Australian One Act Play competition in 2013 and features a central character Alice, who just likes to sit on a bench with a sandwich.

Murder in Little Grimley is the sixth in a series of plays that follow an amateur dramatic society scrabbling about for an audience. This is a whodunnit with a twist and a surprise character, to keep your undivided attention.

There are two performances on Friday and Saturday (November 11 and 12) at 7.30pm in Clyde Memorial Hall.
CTG is looking for new talent, perhaps to act, or support with sets, lighting, costumes and make up.
