Central Otago District Council chief executive Sanchia Jacobs confirmed yesterday (Wednesday March 1) that she was heading out of local government and into a role in the private sector.

She said she had enjoyed her five years with the council and is leaving an amazing team and what she describes as a “fantastic” council.

She told the Central App why she chose such a busy year in the local government sector to leave.
