A wander down the garden path - or eight in fact - is the perfect way to wrap up an action-packed Blossom Festival weekend.

The Delta Garden Tour gives garden lovers the opportunity to explore some of Central Otago’s hidden gems in full spring bloom, with this year's tour focusing on the Alexandra and Clyde area.

The tour is self-driven, allowing people to take their time to really take everything in.

A coffee and slice is available to all ticket holders at one very special stop.

Garden Tour co-convenor Glenda Brown and Rae Garden have been involved in the event for more than a decade and say this year there were some “spectacular” gardens on display.

There is also a little bit of an historical theme to the tour with several properties and stop offs showcasing their interesting Central Otago histories.

They encourage you to come and be inspired by the creative talents of the host gardeners, it is truly a wonderful day out.

Tickets for the Delta Garden Tour are $25 and now available at Central Stories in Alexandra.

The Delta Garden Tour takes place on Sunday, September 29, with gardens open between 10am and 5pm.

Tour brochures and maps can be collected outside Central Stories from 9am on the morning of the tour.

Tickets will also be available to purchase at this time.
