Contractor’s gift to Central cyclistsThe new repair stations will be an asset for communities, council staff said

Fulton Hogan has donated five bike repair stations to the community this summer.

The contractor has sponsored the purchase and installation of the five stations located on Central Otago District Council (CODC) sites in Pioneer Park, the Cromwell Mall, Pearson Road car park, the bike park in Molyneux Park, Alexandra and Lodge Lane in Clyde.

“Fulton Hogan is proud to collaborate with the Central Otago District Council on this community initiative to support sustainable active transport, especially given the expansive biking opportunities in the area that both locals and bike riders from further afield travel to Central to enjoy,” Fulton Hogan Central regional manager Anna Sinclair said.

CODC community experience group manager David Scoones said the repair stations would be “an incredible asset for all bikers and our communities”.

The five new stations will add to the existing units in Roxburgh, which were installed as part of the 2021 Roxburgh street upgrade and one in Naseby as part of the Naseby Vision community initiative.
