CONSERVE WATER NOTICE - ROXBURGH
Issued 9am Tuesday Jan 5
“Residents and visitors to town, a Conserve Water Notice has now been issued for your town water supply,” The CODC statement says.
“The reservoir is currently at 50%, however the plant has stopped treating water for the time being as the flow is too dirty.
“Please do your best to reduce your water usage until further notice.”
BOIL WATER NOTICE - RANFURLY
Issued 1.30pm Monday Jan 4
“Residents and visitors to Ranfurly are advised that a Boil Water Notice has been issued for this town water supply,” The CODC statement says.
“Because of the high amount of sediment in the water due to the recent heavy rain we are currently unable to treat the water.
“Please boil all water used for drinking, food preparation and cooking, and cleaning your teeth until further notice. Bring water to a rolling boil and boil for at least a minute, then allow it to cool naturally.
“We will advise when water conditions improve and the boil water notice can be removed.
“Drinking water tankers will be parked at Maniototo Area School and at the Hospital in Tyrone Street from mid-afternoon today.”
BOIL WATER NOTICE REMINDER - NASEBY AND PATEAROA
Issued 1.30pm Monday Jan 4
“Residents and visitors to Naseby and Patearoa are reminded that a boil water notice is in effect for these two supplies also,” The CODC statement says.
“PATEAROA Residents: Water is back on for your supply but we are still only drawing from one bore until contractors can assess the second bore.
“Please turn an outside tap on to relieve airlocks in the system and remember to boil all water before using for drinking, food preparation and cleaning teeth.”
