An initiative in Omakau is hoping to identify and support people who are experiencing loneliness or isolation in the area.
The Central Otago Friendship Network has received funding from the Vincent Community Board to explore social connection needs in Omakau and surrounding districts.
“We would like to connect with anyone in the community who may experience loneliness, isolation or just finding it hard to get connected and make friends,” Central Otago Friendship Network coordinator Eve O'Brien said.
“We'd also like to talk to anyone who knows people who may experience those challenges.”
A drop-in session is planned for Friday October 31 at Muddy Creek Café in Omakau. As in the Central App Whats on Guide - Social connection session - Omakau and surroundings
