Ongoing:
Temporary Road Closure – McNulty Road, Cromwell
(Pursuant to the Transport Vehicular Traffic Road Closure Regulations 1965)
McNulty Road in Cromwell will be closed in two sections:
Old Saleyard Road to Harvest Road
Harvest Road to Gair Avenue
The closures will be staged over 6 nights, from the 18th to 23rd January 2026, between the hours of 7pm and 5am. The detours for each closure will be clearly signposted.
Resident and business access will be maintained – expect delays and please follow the guidance of the work crews.
The closure is required to complete road surfacing.
Little Valley Road Bridge, Alexandra Alternative Route Open
The temporary Bailey bridge connecting Graveyard Gully Road to Linger and Die Reserve (Rivers St / Walton St) is now open.
The Little Valley Road Bridge currently remains open to traffic; however, it is weight restricted to 29,000kg gross.
The Bailey bridge is rated to full Class 1. We recommend this route for trucks and any larger vehicles.
Please follow all posted speed limits and stay alert to the new road layouts. Give Way priorities have changed at both the Graveyard Gully Road and the Walton St / Thompson St intersections.
The red line on the map below highlights the full Class 1 alternative route. To repeat, the Little Valley Road Bridge remains open for vehicles under the weight limit.
Upcoming:
Temporary Road Closure – Black Street, Alexandra
(Pursuant to the Transport Vehicular Traffic Road Closure Regulations 1965)
Black Street in Alexandra will be closed between Enterprise St and the Winston Place Roundabout, between the hours of 8.30am and 5pm on the 26th and 27th of January 2026.
Resident access will be maintained. The road will be open overnight.
The closure is required to complete water lateral repairs.
