Ongoing:

Temporary Road Closure – Little Valley Road, Alexandra

Little Valley Road (between Tarbert St and Graveyard Gully Rd) is now closed to motor vehicles. This is a long-term closure for bridge repairs.

Motor vehicles:

Detour via: Tarbert St (SH85) > Walton St / Rivers St > Graveyard Gully Rd.

This route is suitable for Class 1 heavy vehicles.

Resident access will be maintained for all affected properties.

Reminder: The speed restriction on the Bailey bridge is 10km/h for all vehicles. Speed bumps have been added at each end of the bridge. Please drive with care.

Pedestrians and cyclists:

Pedestrian and cycle access will be maintained.

This includes the Otago Central Rail Trail, and access under the bridge via the river path.

Upcoming:

Temporary Road Closure – Puketoi Runs Road, Paerau

Notice is given that Puketoi Runs Road will be closed from Monday, 9 March to Friday, 27 March 2026 for bridge repairs.

Closure hours: 8am to 3.30pm, weekdays only. Outside of these hours, the road will be open with a temporary speed limit in place.

Detour: Puketoi Road > Maniototo Road > Paerau Road > Linnburn Runs Road.

The school bus will not be affected by the works.

Temporary Road Closure – Ortive Street, Cromwell

Notice is given that Ortive Street in Cromwell will be closed from 8.30am to 5pm on Monday, 9 March 2026.

Detour: Achil Street > Horace Street > Erris St

Residents will have access to their properties with the assistance of traffic marshals.

The closure is required to complete utility repairs.

Temporary Road Closure – Royal Terrace, Alexandra

Notice is given that Royal Terrace in Alexandra will be closed from 9am to 5pm (unless opened prior) on Tuesday, 10 March 2026.

Detour: Centennial Avenue > Killarney Street > Enterprise Street.

Residents will have access to their properties with the assistance of traffic marshals.

The closure is required to complete utility repairs.

Temporary Road Closure – Three Brothers Road, Teviot

(Pursuant to the Transport Vehicular Traffic Road Closure Regulations 1965)

Notice is given that Three Brothers Road in Teviot will be closed from 8am to 5pm on Friday, 20 March 2026.

Residents will have access to their properties with the assistance of traffic marshals.
