The continued impact of heavy rain has caused the Central Otago District Council (CODC) to issue a Boil Water Notice for residents of Naseby. 

“Residents and visitors to Naseby are advised that a Boil Water Notice has been issued for this town water supply,” a CODC statement said.

“Please boil all water used for drinking, food preparation and cooking, and cleaning your teeth until further notice. 

“Bring water to a rolling boil and boil for at least a minute, then allow it to cool naturally.

“We will advise when water conditions improve and the boil water notice can be removed.”

Residents of Naseby will have to boil drinking water before consuming until further notice.
