Aurora Energy work on Clyde Hill on hold Contractors upgraded poles in Alexandra during March and April; Clyde Hill is next with 11 new power poles going in.

Aurora Energy’s work to replace 15 power poles on the Earnscleugh side of Clyde Hill has been put on hold.

The company’s contractors Connectics are to replace the power poles over three to four weeks (and the number of power poles was to be reduced to 11).

An Aurora Energy spokesperson said the work was “temporarily put on hold” and that once a new date was available it would be shared with the community.

“A new landowner means we are allowing time for additional stakeholder engagement.”

This work was initially planned to take place in June and July.

The replacements are needed to maintain the network that supplies Clyde and the Central region.
