Todays report: Roads across the network are clear.

A very mild start to the day with temperatures ranging from 0°C to 6°C around Alexandra to tropical double digits around Ranfurly / Maniototo area with temperatures ranging from 10°C to 12°C.

Met service has issued a strong wind watch from midday, and heavy rain is forecast for some parts of Otago.

• Keep an eye out for excess grit, reduce your speeds and drive to the winter conditions.

Temporary Road Closure – Waipiata-Kyeburn Road, Kyeburn. Road Conditions

General:

(Pursuant to the Transport Vehicular Traffic Road Closure Regulations 1965)

A section of Waipiata-Kyeburn in Kyeburn will be closed between Clunie Road and Factory Road, on Monday 30 June 2025 (with a contingency date of Tuesday 1 July 2025) from 8am to 5pm.

The closure is required for the installation of a new culvert. 

Detours will be clearly signposted and available via Waipiata-Naseby Rd, Kokonga Road and State Highway 85 (see below).

Resident access will be available either side of the excavation.
