Take the time to do something you’d really love to do this weekend – we have a few suggestions for you.
Make this weekend your superhero. Saturday and Sunday are the days that can swoop in and save the rest of your week.
Here’s a few ideas for you to give your weekend superpowers. For further details on any of the events and activities, check out our What’s On guide. There’s a link below.
Trains anyone? There’s a model train exhibition in Cromwell – and you could be the lucky winner of a model train set. There’s a full display, and a second hand stall to tempt you.
Feel like a good laugh? The Pink Hammer is quintessential Kiwi comedy at its best: quirky, funny, with four strong female roles, and one bloke. This treasure of a play put on by the Clyde Theatre Group is a funny, charming look at the transformative power of friendship, modern feminism, and takes a deeper look at the judgements we make about other people.
You’ll have to be quick though, the final performance is on Saturday night.
Want to enjoy fresh air and sunshine? The official opening may have been rescheduled, but there are still around 30 kilometres of riding and walking to be enjoyed on the Lake Dunstan Trail.
There are plenty of picnic spots along the way, or stop off and enjoy the Cromwell Heritage Precinct.
Or, you could ride out to Carrick Winery, enjoy great views and good food, before heading back along the trail.
Into some fast-paced rugby action and family fun? The Clyde-Earnscleugh 10’s tournament is on. Have a fun day out from mid-morning in Clyde, with the game kicking off at 5.00pm. This family fun day will also raise funds for the Clyde playcentre.
