The WoolOn Creative Fashion Event is searching for interested members to join the committee, with an Annual General Meeting of members on Tuesday, March 2. 

The event is looking for new members to be part of the team making the 2021 event successful after a mixed few years. 

The WoolOn committee sent out an email calling on any new interested parties. 

“The 2021 event is getting closer, and we need all hands on deck - whether it be as a committee member, part of the support team, or someone who just helps us get the word out there.

“You don’t have to attend the AGM in person if you live outside of Alexandra - members can link in by video.

Deputy chair Mary Hinsen says they had learned through 2020 that meetings could be effective whether people joined in person or by video. 

“It’s all about making it easy for people in our communities to be involved in the future of this iconic event,” she says. 

“We also need to form a committee for 2021.”

The AGM is open to members of the WoolOn society, and Mary says she is hoping as many people as possible will renew membership or become members before the AGM, attend in person or by video, and be part of making this year’s exciting event successful.
