Take the time to do something you’d really love to do this weekend – we have a few suggestions for you.
Make this weekend your superhero. Saturday and Sunday are the days that can swoop in and save the rest of your week.
Here’s a few ideas for you to give your weekend superpowers. For further details on any of the events and activities, check out our What's On Guide.
Anyone for pinot? Carrick Winery is celebrating the release of their 2017 Carrick Excelsior Pinot Noir on Saturday, starting at 3.00pm.
This pinot was awarded 95 points by Bob Campbell ONZM MW. Bob was only the second New Zealander and one of only around 350 people in the world to hold the Master of Wine qualification.
Grahame Sydney will also be there. His work ‘Last Light Hawkduns’ features on the label.
Do some good for our environment. Just over the old Alexandra rail bridge, between Little Valley Road and Lookout Drive, you will find Lookout Reserve.
Native plantings have been a community effort for the past five years, and what a difference those efforts have made.
On Sunday, Keep Alexandra and Clyde Beautiful and the Lookout Reserve team want to get another 65 native shrubs, flaxes, toe toes and tussocks planted.
They need your help, starting at 11.00am. It’s only two hours, and there’s a morning tea for all helpers donated by Four Square Alexandra.
Need some art to nourish your soul? The wonderful Dreamscapes exhibition is running at the Eade Gallery in Holloway Street, Clyde. The gallery is open all weekend.
Add to the experience by visiting one of the amazing cafés to be found in Clyde.
Have you experienced the Lake Dunstan Trail yet? Take the whole family, cycle the whole trail or choose a section and enjoy a shorter run, walk or ride. The feedback so far is it’s unmissable.
