Sunshine will continue to bathe Central Otago this weekend, with the forecast reading mostly settled, although a few scattered showers are on the cards.
Cromwell-raised MetService meteorologist Lewis Ferris says the district is in for a mostly settled weekend.
“A few showers, cool change on Sunday but mostly settled,” he says. “The one line basically sums it up nicely!”
Central Otago will be treated to a mostly fine weekend, with scattered showers particularly on Sunday.
“A few showers will be around the region on Friday but Saturday looks to be fine after the morning cloud clears,” Lewis says.
“A cool change moves through the region on Sunday, bringing a few showers and dropping the temperature back into the mid-high teens.
“Settled weather looks to resume come Monday.”
It's mid-spring and there is plenty to do in the garden.
Spring crops and flowers will be starting to appear so keep planting more for a continuous supply that will last you throughout summer.
Weeds also thrive at this time of year, so cover bare soil with material such as bark or pea straw, to keep the weeds at bay.
