Ranfurly residents remain on the boil water notice issued on Wednesday.
A statement from CODC said this means boiling all drinking water and severely restricting unnecessary consumption of water so the situation does not worsen.
“This will be the situation until we get some significant rainfall,” CODC said.
Omakau is on a conserve water notice.
Residents are urged to reduce their water use to avoid moving into more drastic restrictions.
“Elsewhere in the district, people are urged to conserve, conserve, conserve,” CODC said,
The Naseby water supply was shut down early this morning (from 12am for an expected two to three hours) to install a flow meter.
“This is an additional way for us to measure our water usage, especially during this dry period,” CODC said.
