The Police have reported the 39 year old woman reported missing in the Queenstown area since 31 December has been located safe and well.

Children's author Jessica Stall, 39, was located last night.

Police had appealed for sightings of her and her car, saying they had serious concerns for her wellbeing.

They offered no further information about where she had been.

"Police would like to thank the public for their assistance", a police spokesperson said.
