Police have confirmed a body has been recovered this afternoon from a ute that crashed into Lake Dunstan late yesterday. 

The Police National Dive Squad searched the area early this afternoon and located the vehicle’s only occupant.

An official identification process is underway. The body has been recovered and enquiries on behalf of the coroner are taking place.

The incident occurred on State Highway 8B on the Cromwell side of the bridge at approx. 5.15pm yesterday.
