A pilot has escaped injury after the Tiger Moth they were in flipped at Cromwell today.
The bi-plane flipped, landing upside down while taxiing at Cromwell Aerodrome, near the Cromwell Racecourse about noon.
Fire and Emergency NZ (Fenz) crews were called to the scene, just off State Highway 6, including two appliances from Cromwell and one from Clyde.

A Fenz spokesperson said no one was injured or trapped.
“So we just assisted, putting it right again.”
Easter marked the return of Warbirds Over Wānaka for the first time in six years, but it is not known if the Tiger Moth participated in the popular event.
