Central Otago’s windy spells and wet weather looks to be settling for the first few days of the week.
According to the MetService forecast, today is mostly cloudy with a few showers, possibly heavy and thundery. Southerlies should be dying out this evening.
By Tuesday, we can experience a few more cloudy periods and more showers, but thankfully less winds than the past few days.
Central Otago’s weekly forecast: A better start to the new week
“We can expect some lovely warmer weather and blue skies from Wednesday & Thursday but it will be short lived, as Friday brings scattered showers and northwesterlies," says MetService Meterologist Andy Best.
This will continue for pretty much the rest of Saturday and Sunday, with rain and light winds.
Garden Tip:
Sow wild flower seeds over weed-free areas and plant vibrant blooms to brighten up your garden. Popular flowers to plant at this time of year include chrysanthemum, lobelia, dahlia, cosmos, gerbera, and sunflowers.
For the spring bulbs that have finished flowering, feed them with a bulb food to ensure next year's blooms are just as vibrant.
