Cloudy skies, scattered showers and light winds are on the cards for Central Otago this weekend. 

Cromwell-raised MetService meteorologist Lewis Ferris says Central Otago is in for a cool and cloudy couple of days.

“Periods of rain are likely on Friday but this eases back through the weekend with just a few isolated showers around the region.

“Winds look to remain on the lighter side but with plenty of cloud cover so temperatures are forecast to remain below double digits.”

Central Otago will feature a cloudy and cool Saturday and Sunday. 

Today, the forecast includes cloud with occasional rain, clearing in the evening. Northeast breezes.

Saturday features cloudy periods, chance of a shower. Light winds, while Sunday will often be cloudy, with a chance of scattered showers. Light winds.

On Monday, weather is becoming fine with light winds.
