Central Otago’s weekend remains fine this weekend and into early next week.

MetService meteorologist Ashlee Parkes says, "Clouds scattered across the region today will clear towards evening, leaving mostly clear skies for New Year’s Eve celebrations tonight. 

"There may be a shower or two this morning and afternoon, but otherwise the rest of the weekend remains dry with light winds. 

“Skies will be mostly clear during the weekend, with some occasional thin high cloud.”

Central Otago’s weekend remains fine this weekend and into early next week.

Ashlee says, “Temperatures begin to warm up this weekend, with Alexandra pushing to 28°C on Saturday and to 31°C on Sunday.”

“The next wet day for the region looks to be Tuesday.”

There will be some showers developing during the afternoon and evening with some summer daytime convection.
