Central Otago’s weekend looks set to include some showers, with a small breather by Sunday.
MetService meteorologist Lewis Ferris says it is not an overly wet weekend around Central but maybe leave your washing until Sunday afternoon.
A southerly pushes through the region on Saturday – keeping the max temp below 20C. It also means some wet weather, mainly in the morning.
"Sunday starts off a bit dreary with some drizzle around but the afternoon could see some sun shine through the clouds.”

Lewis says, “a few spots of rain on the cards for the new working week but temps are back up into the mid twenties.”
Let's hope all this rain will still allow for some fun in the sun.
Gardening Guide
Strawberries are ripening this month in the warmer parts of the country, but make sure you keep a net around them to keep birds away - wire mesh works well.
Mulch around the base of fruit trees, and stake young plants so roots can anchor themselves for the first few seasons.
