Central Otago’s weekend has nothing to worry about weather wise, unless you’re running out of water!

MetService meteorologist Lewis Ferris says there is no real rain forecast before the end of the month.

“Temperatures sitting in the low 20s, down into the single digits overnight.”

 Central Otago will see the weekend with mainly fine and light winds

“It’s been a dry March with just 7.4mm in the gauge at the airport, well below the ~33mm average for March, but not even close to record breaking!” he said.

Squash small infestations by rubbing affected parts of the plant between your thumb and fingers.

Destroy any heavily infested plants and bury deeply to avoid spreading to other plants.

Keep on top of weeds and falling leaves, dense cover keeps the soil surface damp which encourages slugs.
