Central Otago has been on the knife edge of wet and dry with the weather system this weekend.
MetService meteorologist Lewis Ferris says today, (Friday), the models are pretty consistent with any persistent rain being more on the western side of Central Otago.
He explains, there is still a risk of a couple showers this weekend but there’s also a good chance that it’ll remain dry for most locations.
The weekend looks set to be cloudy and possibly dry, according to MetService.
“Northeasterly winds keep the max temperatures in the low twenties but down into single digits overnight, he says”
“The weather remains relatively unchanged into next week.”
Gardening Guide
Trim hedges, keeping them strong, compact and bushy will help them survive the winter.
Deadhead and prune back plants that have finished flowering.
Also start thinking about spring, flowering bulbs like freesias will create a lovely fragrance in the air and add lots of colour to brighten an outdoor area.
