The weekend forecast: Central Otago’s summer in full effectThe weekend has summer in full effect, according to MetService.

Central Otago’s weekend weather shows off summer in full effect, so enjoy it whilst you can.


MetService meteorologist Lewis Ferris says, You may have heard about Cyclone Cody impacting parts of the country late this weekend and into next week.


“Good news for Central Otago is that this stays well away and weatherwise this weekend your biggest worry will be the heat!”


High 20s and even into the 30s are likely this weekend.


Hot afternoon temperatures are likely to generate lake breezes for people near large bodies of water.

Lewis says, “Settled and warm weather lasts into next week but maybe a little bit of rain will come by Tuesday.”


Now is a good time to enjoy some vitamin D.
