Central Otago’s will experience a blustery Friday with warm northerly winds this weekend.
MetService meteorologist Lewis Ferris said a frontal system was making its way up the West Coast on Friday.
The main effect for Central Otago is the strong, warm northerly winds but the risk of a shower is there.
“A strong wind watch is in force between 2pm Friday and 3am Saturday.”

“Once the front passes by the winds turn around to the south, but Saturday still manages temperatures around the mid-twenties with partly cloudy skies.
“Sunday and Monday look fine with light winds with some showers possible on Tuesday,” he said.
