The weekend forecast for Central Otago - a cooler weekend with cloud and southerlies, according to MetService. 

MetService meteorologist Lewis Ferris says, Central Otago will experience a decent drop in temperatures when comparing Friday and Saturday from 26°C down into the teens.

Saturday might start off wet but the second half of the day should see the skies clear and the sun may make an appearance before slipping below the mountains.

“The cool change brings the risk of a few showers around the region on Saturday but it’s not looking like everyone will see them.”

Lewis says, “Another cool day on Sunday as the southerly winds hold on with a risk of a few morning showers for southern parts of the region.”

Fine weather returns next week – maybe a couple showers on Wednesday but temperatures remain in the 20s.
