Emergency services attended to a two-vehicle accident on the reserve near the Kiwi Water Park this afternoon (Saturday January 28).

A Ford Ranger and a Toyota Hi-Ace van were travelling parallel to state highway 6, Luggate-Cromwell Rd when they collided head-on.

One person was taken to hospital as a precaution.

The section of road has been the site of several incidents involving vehicles entering and exiting the reserve area around the Kiwi Water Park over the summer period.
