RANFURLY & OMAKAU/OPHIR

A reminder that boil water notices remain in effect for Ranfurly and Omakau/Ophir.

 Water tanker locations:

Omakau: Apologies for the inconvenience — the drinking water tanker will soon be relocated to the end of Deaker Street near Omakau School to allow easier access for the school.

Ranfurly: Tankers remain available at Maniototo Hospital and near the monument on Charlemont Street.

If you're having trouble accessing safe drinking water in your area, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Please continue to boil all tap water used for:

- Drinking

- Preparing food and baby formula

- Brushing teeth

- Washing fruit, vegetables, or cooking utensils

Even if you use a water filter or treatment device, boil your water — most filters do not remove harmful micro-organisms.

If you are unable to boil water:

 Use bottled water

Or disinfect tap water with household bleach: Add 1 teaspoon of plain bleach per 10 litres of water and leave for 30 minutes

Or use water purification tablets (follow package directions)

We’ll provide another update on the situation within the next 24 hours.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
