The top rated story of the last week was the accident update on the tragic Queen’s Birthday weekend crash.

Police confirmed one person died as a result of the accident, with three other people injured due to the crash on SH85, Morrisons – Kyeburn Road, Round Hill, Waitaki.

Police named him as David William Huria, 60, of Ashburton.

The crash, as reported, was at around 11.20am Sunday morning and involved a ute and a motorcycle.

In addition to the person who died, one person received serious injuries in the crash, one person had moderate injuries and one person had minor injuries.

Police and The Central App extended sympathies to his whanau at this very difficult time and the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
