A new podcast has been launched today by The Central App (February 24).

The podcast is called The Outlet with the tagline, ‘The Voice of Central’.

The Central App owner Vicki McLean says the 20-30 minute fortnightly episodes will cover what is happening in the community including interviews, events, and news commentary.

“Bringing audio to a news platform allows us to hear the voice of those behind some of the magic happening to Central, and allows us to go deeper into topics important for our community,” says Vicki.

The podcast is hosted by award winning veteran broadcaster Brent Harbour who formerly anchored More FM’s breakfast show in Rodney.

The Outlet’s first episode went live at 6 am this morning. You can listen by clicking here:

You can also find The Outlet in the Podcast button on the main screen of The Central App.

As with other podcasts, you can tune in at any time, across any device and on Spotify. Episodes will be published at 7 am fortnightly on Fridays, then weekly from April.

If you have topic suggestions or people to interview please send them to [email protected].
