Lauder’s Pam Walker received another title to be proud of this past weekend; Bowls New Zealand’s Para Bowler of the year.
The local bowler has just returned from representing New Zealand at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
Pam has an auto-immune disease (Ankylosing Spondylitis) but she travels to Dunedin for an infusion every six weeks which keeps the symptoms under control.
She told The Central App she’s got no plans to slow down, with the next Commonwealth Games in Victoria Australia in her sights in four years time.
Read about Pam’s trip to England here. More information is available on the Bowls NZ website on the inter island challenge and other award winners.
