Warehouse Store person - Full-time - VinPro Limited (Cromwell)


This is a permanent full-time position with is a strong emphasis on reliability, flexibility and accuracy. The role is primarily responsible for loading product in and out of our busy warehouse while ensuring all stock movement is accurately recorded.


The key functions of this role include:


  • Control of inwards and outwards goods
  • Accurate recording of all stock movements
  • Operating a forklift
  • Inventory control
  • Ensuring the stock, dry goods store and yard are always clean and presentable.


The ideal applicant will have:


  • A positive attitude
  • Attention to detail and good analytical skills.
  • Hold a current F endorsed forklift license.
  • Good computer literacy
  • Previous warehouse or stock control experience

Top Dairy position - Livestock Improvement Corporation (LIC) (Central Otago)

Central Otago, Ranfurly, Omakau, Hawea Livestock Improvement Corporation (LIC) now has an additional herd test assist position to meet extra demand in the wider area around the Ranfurly, Omakau and Hawea districts for the 2021-2022 season, which is due to start in Mid September. 



What do we want?


  • Dairy industry experience preferred but not essential.
  • Need to be personable, a good listener and self-motivated.
  • Natural attention to detail.
  • Calm under pressure.


Herd test assist duties:


  • Helping farmers during milking by collecting milk samples.
  • Early starts.
  • Use your own vehicle but are paid a KM rate.

Timber & Building Supplies Team Member MITRE 10 (Alexandra)


Mitre 10 Alexandra is a proudly locally owned and operated business. We are looking for a great person to join our dynamic team. 


Reporting to the Store Operations Manager you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service in our Timber & Building Supplies Department as well as backing up our Inwards Goods Department when required.


The hours for this role are full-time (approx. 40 hours per week) and will include rostered weekend work.


The following skills/attributes will apply:


  • Applicants must have a full driver's license to obtain a forklift license if not already held, as this role requires the use of forklifts to unload and load trucks.
  • This role is a physical, hands-on position in a busy area of the business.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, planning, organisation, and communication are essential for this role.
  • Confidence using computers accurately and effectively.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a 'can-do' attitude.
  • Previous retail experience in timberand building products will be viewed favourably.
  • Willingness to learn and use initiative
  • NZ citizen or resident with valid NZ work visa.

Animal Control Officer - Central Otago District Council (Alexandra)


Central Otago District Council has an opportunity for a committed and passionate Animal Control Officer to join our Regulatory Services team on a full-time basis.


In this new and exciting role, you will work across our district to minimise harm and nuisance from dogs and other animals, as well as providing essential services such as dog registration and raising public awareness of responsible dog ownership.


The successful applicants will have:


  • Level 2 and 4 NZQA Animal Control or equivalent experience
  • The ability to interpret the Dog Control Act Impounding Act 1955
  • The ability to make decisions which are in the best interest of the community
  • Investigation skills, experience with legislation and report writing
  • Communication skills and the ability to gain the confidence and trust of our customers
  • Demonstrated confidence and capability to deal with aggressive dogs and other animals
  • Ability to think on your feet and resolve situation when they arise

Deli Assistant - New World Alexandra


An opportunity to work in our busy Deli has arisen at Alexandra New World.


“We are looking for a reliable, hard working person to assist with the making of fresh product, salads, slicing of meat and other deli duties as required.


You will need to have:


  • Previous kitchen experience
  • Be time efficient.
  • Be able to use your initiative and plan ahead.
  • Full training will be given to the successful applicant.


The days and hours are:


Tuesday to Thursday 1pm to 8pm

Friday and Saturday 11am to 8pm

Total hours per week: 36.5 hrs


Also the successful applicant must be flexible to cover other shifts when needed.
