Central locals can now get their hands on tickets for the region's favourite party.

Alexandra Blossom Festival tickets have hit the shelves so locals can get organised early and avoid queues on the day.

Locals tickets are on sale around Alexandra and Clyde in shops, banks, and dairies until Thursday, September 21.

Tickets are also available from Central Stories, Unichem Pharmacy and Alexandra Community House.

Locals’ tickets cost $6 each and children under five are free.

Out of town visitors can get their tickets at the gate on the day for $10 with children under five years free.

The 66th Blossom Festival (September 22-24) is full of quintessentially Kiwi events, including Friday night mardi gras and fireworks display, the grand parade and party in the park.

Following the parade, Saturday in the Park includes carnival rides, market stalls, food trucks, children's entertainment and Queenstown bands Ginger and Tonic, Highland Storm, and Alexandra local musician Paul Foulds
