Hear from ‘The Rabbit Hunter’ authorNewly published fictional war novel ‘The Rabbit Hunter’ will be discussed at a free talk at Alexandra Library on Saturday, April 22

Fans of historical fiction can hear from author Chris Worth on Saturday at the Alexandra Library.

Chris will be giving a free author talk from 2pm about his book ‘The Rabbit Hunter’ which covers New Zealand soldiers' little known combat in Northern Greece during the Second World War (WWII).

The Dunedin based writer said he has always been fascinated with WWII.

“The war’s aftermath shaped the world I grew up in, as it still does.

“Very few of those who went remain with us. I would like to think that in this book the reader might recognise something of their own father or grandfather.”

The 359 page fictional novel was published in February this year by Renaissance Publishing.

The Rabbit Hunter follows protagonist lieutenant Neil Rankin through New Zealand's WWII campaign in Greece.

Based on real events readers experience first-hand the drama, comedic moments and the trauma of 1941 in Greece.

At the author talk there will be copies available to buy, and Chris will be signing autographs.
