Four Square Alexandra has gone all out to show their support for this year’s cancelled Blossom Festival by covering the store in paper blossoms.

Shop assistant Millie Harrex, along with owners Monique and Shannon Entwisle and staff, enlisted friends and family and spent hundreds of hours creating 15,000-20,000 paper blossoms, all in honour of the festival.

“Even though we had to cancel this years 65th celebrations this year, Millie said she still wanted to celebrate the festival,” Blossom Festival wrote on social media.

“As well as the Four Square, we hear a number of local businesses came on board to help provide paint, crepe paper, cardboard and other supplies for the project.

“To say we are pretty humbled and stoked is an understatement!”

Between 15,000 and 20,000 paper blossoms went into the covering of Four Square Alexandra.

Event manager Martin McPherson says it bought a tear to his eye when he saw it.

"It just goes to show the amount of love people have for the festival and what it means to everyone.''

Millie sends her thanks to Four Square owners Monique and Shannon for “always giving amazing support and opportunities”.

"They create a wonderful work environment and we are like a big family at the shop."

It definitely takes a special bunch of people to pull off something like this. Make sure you head on down and check it out.
