A construction contract has now been finalised between Central Otago District Council (CODC) and its development partner Imagine Capital Ltd. 

For stage three of the four-stage Dunstan Park residential subdivision at ‘The Pines’ in Alexandra. 

Development work is well advanced for stages 1 and 2.

Twenty-eight sections have already been sold in stages 1 and 2, with four sections still available for sale. 

Council says Stage 1 and 2 of Dunstan Park are already under development, while Stage 3 sales will be released soon. 

Due to continuing demand 19 more sections in Stage 3 will be released for sale soon.

Vincent Community Board Chair Martin McPherson says he was “very pleased with progress with the subdivision”.

“It is great news that more sections are being released to meet continuing demand.”

Council’s Property and Facilities Manager Garreth Robinson says “not only does the development deliver much needed increased housing stock to Alexandra, it also provides an important revenue stream to Vincent Ward ratepayers to provide for future ward projects”.

Councillors have previously agreed Council has a role to play in providing affordable housing.
