The preliminary results for the Cromwell Community Board by-election have been received, with Bob Scott announced as the winning candidate.
Central Otago District Council Chief Executive Sanchia Jacobs says Bob Scott is the successful candidate, with 1,086 votes.
“The voter response rate for the Cromwell ward was just under 28%.
“Mr Scott will be sworn into office at the Cromwell Community Board meeting to be held on Thursday 29 July.”
The vacant position was left open, and a by-election called, after Robin Dicey suddenly resigned from the board in April.
