Police have confirmed two people died following a crash in the Cromwell gorge yesterday evening.

The collision, involving a car and a motorcycle, was reported to emergency services at approximately 5pm.

Tragically, both the motorcyclist and the driver of the car—the vehicle’s sole occupant—were pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities say the circumstances of the crash are still under investigation.
