Eight new jobs will be created in Alexandra by the return of clothing retailer Postie next month.
Two full time roles and around six casual roles are being recruited to work in the store, which is moving into the site previously occupied by Oasis Opportunity shop on Ennis Street (at the back of Centrepoint Mall).
Postie chief executive officer Linda Leonard said the site is being refurbished and the anticipated opening day was Friday June 24.

“We are excited to be opening our doors next month to Alexandra locals, and will have a range of competitions and giveaways for shoppers to enjoy as part of our reopening celebrations.”
Linda said Postie left Alexandra a few years ago as the previous site was not right for their requirements.
“We decided to close the store until a more suitable site was found.
“We have loyal customers in Alexandra and aways said we wanted to return once we found the right site for our store.”
Postie has served communities around New Zealand for over 110 years and offers affordable clothing.
Postie is owned by Best & Less Group, which also owns Best & Less in Australia. The two brands operate more than 250 stores across Australia and New Zealand and employ 4,000 people.
