Central Otago’s business community has a new platform for growth and support with the establishment of Business South Central Otago (BSCO).

BSCO is a result of collaborative efforts of Business South and the Central Otago advisory committee (COAC) to support all businesses within the region.

The new entity seeks to empower Central’s business community, fostering an environment where businesses can thrive and flourish.

It aims to address challenges and seize opportunities to benefit the entire business community.

COAC will be rebranded to Business South Central Otago (BSCO), to show integration with Business South and its resources.

Soon BSCO plans to name its committee members and extend invitations for broader participation, ensuring representation from diverse industries.

BSCO chairperson Dewald de Beer said he was honoured to be part of this journey.

“The establishment of BSCO signifies a bright future for our region, and we are committed to leveraging every opportunity to propel our community forward. I want to thank Mike Collins, CEO of Business South, and the entire Business South board for their steadfast support and dedication to the region's growth.”
