More than 500 people flocked to Millers Flat to welcome riders back from their week of re-trekking the Central Otago trails the gold miners cut in the 1800s.

There was a market day, parade, and real hoedown on Saturday night to celebrate as the Cavalcade celebrated turning 30.

Celebrations were delayed last year (2022) after a Covid interruption; for 2023, it was back to business as usual.
